Series Navigation<< B for books.  As ever.

Soooo…most years, I talk about the cats. Kushka, my Bengal who passed away just over 12 years ago, and the girls, Haley and Eiryss, we adopted the March after. Last year, I didn’t talk about them, I talked about challenges. And I got some messages asking how the girls were. It was also recently brought to my attention that I hadn’t updated their page for at least four years (oooops), so Haley and Eiryss are still with us. They’re both fine. Gorgeous older ladies now who need a little bit more help but since the clocks went back, I think it’s fair to say they’re both feeling the joys of spring.

It’s not all been plain sailing this year, but as animals get older you sort of expect this sort of stuff. Haley had dental lesions and needed a tooth removed and is a super fussy mare about food now (I think it’s because she prefers the tins over the pate, I think it probably tastes better) while Eiryss was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, and will be going for radioactive iodine treatment in about a month (and will have to stay with them for most of the two weeks recovery time too, but it’ll give her more time, she’s ‘young’ for cats that get this and everything else, including her kidneys are fine). Both though are loving adorable cats. Haley in fact is sat on Tempus’ leg, one paw hanging off cause she somehow knows it’s ‘her’ day today.

So…there’s the update 🙂 The cats are good. They’ve struggled a bit to adapt to Artenapan moving into her own flat, but I think both will adapt as we set up our new offices, with comfortable spaces for each of them.
