I did mention on a few comments that life handed me lemons and I decided to just go with it.
In October of last year, after a set of B12 loading doses, my scheduled yearly vaccines/boosters and an iron infusion, I went to sleep two days after the last treatment, and…I woke up in 2009.
Not time travel, though. I literally thought it was 2009.
I woke up with what they’re now calling an ‘atypical thunderclap headache’. Atypical, because the usual things they worry about with thunderclap headaches wasn’t what actually happened. Luckily enough, and as I’ll be talking about in my AtoZ is that I didn’t actually have a stroke or aneurysm. Which quite honestly, was a relief. They currently believe I have something called ‘Status Migrainosus’.
But it’s meant since October, that I’ve been really unwell and under a lot of pressure to sort out things that I’ve had issues with. I wish that wasn’t the case, but it’s meant that all the plans I’ve made with people have fallen by the wayside. And one of those plans was to be here, and blogging regularly, and setting up some new things that let me support my writing. I wish it wasn’t this way, but life, lemons, who wants lemonade? 😉
Moving forward
In the coming month, I’ll be doing an AtoZ, and I’m taking part in my first ever Nanowrimo event as ‘not’ an ML. I reluctantly stepped down this month, due to my health.
That’s 21 main challenges, and over 20 years of my life that I’ve spent with them as a volunteer. It predates my now 20 year relationship with David (we met 20 years ago earlier this month), and gave me Glass Block, so I think you’ll be able to guess what either C or N is for in my inspirations, right?
I’m hoping though, to make sure that I’m interacting with people doing the challenge and spending a bit of it building up other projects. Mostly because I try to make sure everything I’m doing is going towards a goal I have, rather than in the way of it. So, more LudoSport, more training, more time with family, more work on my backlist, more fun projects with amazing people, and less drama. That’s the plan anyway. We’ll see how that works out.
The A to Z starts on Easter Monday – I hope you’ll join me – check out my theme announcement, and do join in!
