Update on the cat

Kushie is…Kushie basically.
We’ve had her for close to 12 weeks, I think. We got her on the 21st of June, and ever since then, we’ve had one vet visit after another. We’ve had her microchipped, and she’s had more antibiotics than I have in the lst year just since moving in with us. She’s almost at the end of her steroid dose, and we have, at last, managed to get her vaccinated, much to her ‘disgust’. Well partially.
They aren’t sure whether she has ‘cat athsma’ or a URI. They aren’t sure whether she’s like this because the previous owner didn’t treat it properly. They aren’t sure whether it’s dust that sets her off, hayfever, or if there’s something more sinister underlying it. All of this totals up to me making a choice about whether I should have her checked out - they put her to sleep, x-ray her, and do a bronchal lavage/swab. They MIGHT be able to sort out her nose at the same time, if there’s a ‘foreign object’ in there, but she says it’s increasingly unlikely.
Where that leaves me, to be honest, I’m not sure. There’s a dozen things I could *possibly* do to raise the money I need for this, not limited to taking on a part time job whilst at Uni, thereby freeing up some of the funds coming in, but mostly I’m stuck between ‘do I have this done and risk losing her (cause anethesing a cat with breathing problems probably isn’t a clever plan) or doing nothing and again, losing her cause we missed something treatable.
I *am* going to do something. I just don’t know what yet - but no matter what, she’s getting her tests.
